Mexican Gothic uses the Ouroboros to tell a story of a mysterious family in a mysterious house on top of a mysterious hill. When Noemí Taboada, a Mexico City Socialite, gets a letter from Catalina that is clearly cause for concern, she immediately takes a trip to visit her cousin in the mycelia-ridden house known as “High Place” sitting above a small Mexican town in the mountains. Once there, Noemí realizes that her concern was warranted and begins her own fight against the madness that seems to creep throughout the house and the nightmarish relations that darken the hilltop’s history.
