About the Author

Annie Atkins is a graphic designer and prop maker for film and television. Her first job after graduating was on the third season of The Tudors, creating the calligraphy for Henry VIII’s death warrants (among other things). She is known for her work with Wes Anderson on The Grand Budapest Hotel, which won the Academy Award for Best Production Design at the 87th Academy Awards. Since then, she has worked again with Wes Anderson on Isle of Dogs and The French Dispatch. Annie’s first book, Fake Love Letters, Forged Telegrams, and Prison Escape Maps, was published in 2020 by Phaidon. Annie lives in Dublin, Ireland, where she teaches workshops out of her studio. Fia Tobing is a freelance illustrator from Jakarta, Indonesia. She currently lives in Perth, Australia. Drawing has always been in her heart since she was little. Her lifelong passion for picture books and drawing has driven her to become a children’s illustrator. Working mainly digitally, she loves creating cute characters and whimsical illustrations. She discovers inspiration from childhood memories, nature, animated movies, and children’s books. When taking a break, she spends most of her time with her family, watching movies, or drawing on her sketchbook while enjoying a cup of hot tea.

Praise For…

"The air of magic wafting through the perky rhyming text and old-fashioned visuals may well spark the creativity of some young inventors."
— Publisher's Weekly

“An interactive and visually lush holiday tale . . . Atkins’s thoughtful design is joyous in its expression of period details like elaborate script, postmarked stamps, varied typewriter key strikes, and toy schematics which appear hand drawn. This elevated spin on ‘letters to Santa’ will be a Christmas staple with its unique inclusion of removable letters.”
