Sigrid Nunez is the author of the novels A Feather on the Breath of God, The Last of Her Kind, The Friend, What Are You Going Through, and The Vulnerables, among others. She is also the author of Sempre Susan: A Memoir of Susan Sontag. She has been the recipient of several awards, including the National Book Award, the Rome Prize in Literature, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Throughout their lengthy and lauded career, David Siegel & Scott McGehee have developed a reputation for expertly crafting deeply relatable, character-driven stories—whether their 2001 thriller The Deep End with a never better Tilda Swinton; 2012’s What Maisie Knew; or 2021’s Montana Story. Their most recent film is The Friend, named a New York Times critics pick, starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murray.
