Emma Ramadan teaches

Marguerite Duras Through the Decades

6 online sessions beginning Tuesday, April 1 at 7pm EST

In this six-week course, we will closely examine three of Marguerite Duras’s novels from the beginning, midpoint, and end of her career, including two lesser-known works.

As we read The Easy Life and Moderato Cantabile, we will explore how Duras depicts the experience of womanhood and trace the development of her distinctive writing style that would culminate in her most famous book The Lover, notably her use of shifting perspectives and narrative voice in order to capture the fragmentation of self and memory.

Tuition includes copies of The Easy Life, The Lover, and Four Novels by Marguerite Duras. Please note there will be no class on Tuesday, April 15, so the final session will happen on Tuesday, May 13. Each class session will be 60 minutes.

Please email events@mcnallyjackson.com with any questions.
